Question from the heart...
The questions from the heart...
Who is God? He is the Spirit, He is Love, He is the creator of heaven and earth, He is King, He is Majesty on High, The Lord Almighty, He is the Word, He is the Father, He is our Salvation, He is light, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The list is long of who God is. The more you read your Bible, the more you see who God is.
How can you serve God? By showing others that God is love, by loving them the way he does. Pray for others even if you don't know them. Show kindness even if it is a struggle. Look for positive things in others and share those things with them. By being a good steward of your resources. Having a thankful heart. And the list goes on...
Why Pray? God is listening. He never stops listening to us. He hears us even when the world is loud, He knows our needs even before we ask Him, and He still wants to hear from us. When the world is asleep, he is awake listening. When the tears fall, he hears those, too. When laughter pours out, he hears. He wants us to share every single aspect of our lives and the lives around us. When you pray for a stranger, even in secret, God is listening.
Why worship Him? To show honor to God. To praise Him for all his mighty works. To tell him thank you for all he has done for us. To share our love for Him. To connect with Him beyond the Bible and prayer. Worship brings comfort to our hearts, minds, souls, and bodies. Worship is our purpose for being here. We can worship God by loving others.
Why ask for forgiveness of my sins? And is once enough? God is a God who saves. He wants us to ask him with a childlike heart for forgiveness of our sins. For Him to come into our hearts to cleanse us from the sinful nature that is within us. He sent His Only Son to live among us, to sacrifice his life on a cross and die for our sins that we might be saved. Is once enough...No. Do you sin every day? If you like the rest of the Earth's population sin, then asking for forgiveness daily is needed. Morning, noon, and night. We sin, therefore, when you talk to God, ask for forgiveness, it doesn't mean go back to your first prayer, but rather repent for the sins of today, whatever they may be. It's about being mindful of your sins.
